        Board of Directors

Thirteen community-minded residents serve on the CTV Board of Directors, which is the policy making body for the organization. Their primary responsibilities are to hire and evaluate the Executive Director, create the corporate policies of CTV and monitor their implementation, exercise due diligence as the fiduciary of CTV, including approval and monitoring of the budget, fiscal procedures, and compliance with state regulatory agencies. Members of the board serve a three year term. The mayors of Hamden, New Haven and West Haven each appoint one member to the CTV board. The other ten members are either elected by the membership at the annual meeting or appointed by a majority vote of the sitting board members. The CTV Executive Director and a representative from the Cable Advisory Council and Comcast Cablevision are ex-officio and non-voting members of the Board.      Staff

The staff at CTV is customer-service focused first, and then pretty darn good at the technical stuff, too, that is needed for quality video production. They arrive from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, and their goal is to assist community residents in producing programs by them, for them and about them. Take a look at who we are. 

    Producers

They have been trained and certified by CTV in studio and field production to create and submit their own programs about what they want their communities to know. Their programs are their own, and neither CTV nor Comcast Cablevision of New Haven is responsible for the content of their programs. Meet these interesting folks, won't you? 

   Underwriters (We and CTV)

Business and corporate supporters are the newest and growing members of the CTV organization. They cannot advertise or promote their businesses on CTV, but we will acknowledge as often as possible their support of CTV community access programming. Because of their support, CTV provides extensive hours of increasingly diverse programming.  You should know what businesses are supporting community access television.

Residents going beyond the call is how best to describe the people paying just $12.00 a year to be a Supporting Member of CTV.  Comcast Cablevision of New Haven bills each cable subscriber just sixty three cents (.63) a month, or $7.52 a year, for CTV to provide community access services to the residents. The additional $12.00 a year that we ask each household to pay will allow CTV the growth to provide greater training, better equipment and more community programming.
